A camera clicks
A shutter sounds
Eyelids close
A heartbeat pounds
Sand grains fall
Through an hourglass
A fly’s life ends
Fingers snap
Cool water
On a parched tongue
Refreshing for a second
And then it’s gone
A good book ends
The credits roll
Chords are strummed
Then silence falls
Dreams flash by
Ideas pass
We laugh for a moment
But moments don’t last
A shutter sounds
Eyelids close
A heartbeat pounds
Sand grains fall
Through an hourglass
A fly’s life ends
Fingers snap
Cool water
On a parched tongue
Refreshing for a second
And then it’s gone
A good book ends
The credits roll
Chords are strummed
Then silence falls
Dreams flash by
Ideas pass
We laugh for a moment
But moments don’t last
A short poem attempting to portray how quickly a moment goes by. Also I have no idea how to categorize this, so I'm guessing...

They may not always last but they can reside in out memories if we care to note them well enough Love the poem dear, very emotional and I could connect well with it.
